So its Day 1. I have laid out my plan and plan to use the Atkins Diet plan with a little tweaking to get to my goal weight. So here is the plan and the current status. I also plan to include what I ate and I am going to (in further posts) include exact statistics of what I have eaten.
GOAL WEIGHT: 190 lbs CURRENT: 326 lbs
To start with my goal during the first phase of my diet is to stay below 20 g net carbs everyday. Having done this diet previously with good results, this goal is attainable.
One thing that is important to pay attention to is "net Carbs". Which means the result of taking the total carbs per serving and subtracting total fiber. That is net carbs.
So for Breakfast I had:
Beef Jerky from Service Station:
(I deliver papers in the morning and so I am up real early, and decided to go with this as fuel source till I can get a better meal for breakfast)
Total Carbs 3 g
3 eggs scrambled, 3 sausage links, 1/4 cup shredded cheese
Total Carbs: 6 g net carbs
LUNCH:
Chef Salad
(This thing was huge, got it from a fast food joint called "Apollo burger", so good)
Not sure on carbs of that, but I used ranch dressing, and no real carbs but tomatoes, and those are ok in small portions.
DINNER:
Meatballs
Not real glamorous, nor very appealing, but my wife and kids were making this awesome pasta dish, and they had left over meatballs.
I had about 12 little meatballs.
Net Carbs 5 g net carbs
Now I made sure and drank lots of water through out the day. That is very important. So my total carbs should have fallen under 20 lbs
